About

"Yesterday I was clever so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself." - Rumi

My love for music took root and shape when I started to improvise which is something I love to encourage in my teaching.

Curiosity invites us to that edge and the questions that I love are open ended and flexible - what does it look like today? I know that when I play, I touch and feel the heartbeat of my practice and I am remembering that my discipline is in service to play.

When I teach with curiosity, I encourage the curiosity of my students. What remains true for me in all my lessons is that learning is a two way street. There is a beautiful saying that goes, 'Everyone you meet is your teacher' and I hope that I always bring this wisdom into my lessons.
